Data deletion

You are always in control of your data. There are two kinds of data, and here is how to delete each.

1. Your baby's data (on your device)

All of your baby's care data — profiles, feeds, sleep, diapers, pumping, growth, notes and cry results — lives only on your phone. To delete it:

Delete individual entries: open History, tap an entry, and choose Delete.
Delete everything: open Settings → Privacy & data → Delete all data. This permanently erases every baby and all entries from the app's database.
Uninstall the app: removing ReadMyBaby from your device also removes its local database.

Tip: before deleting, you can use Settings → Export data to save a JSON copy first.

2. Anonymous analytics (on our servers)

To keep the app reliable we store a small amount of anonymous, non-personal usage and device analytics on our Cloudflare backend (see the Privacy Policy, Section 4). It contains no information about your baby. You can have it erased in either of these ways:

Option A — Self-service (recommended)

Send a request to our deletion endpoint with your app's anonymous device id. You can find your device id in Settings → Privacy & data → Analytics in the app.

This immediately removes the device record and all of its analytics events from our database. (No account or login is required — the anonymous device id is enough.)

Option B — Email us

Prefer we do it for you? Email [privacy@readmybaby.app] from any address with your app's device id (from Settings → Privacy & data → Analytics) and ask us to delete your analytics. We will action it and confirm, typically within 30 days.

Because the analytics are anonymous, the device id is the only way we can locate your records. Without it we cannot identify which data is yours — so please include it.

3. Optional features

If you ever enabled an optional feature that transmits data (AI Assistant context, anonymized cry contribution, or future cloud sync), turning the feature off in Settings stops further transmission. To erase any data already sent for those features, contact us at the address above.
